Karn’s Fair Recap (July 26)
Last Saturday I had a booth at Karn’s Fair in Knoxville, and it was such a joy to meet so many readers and curious passers‑by. We talked about everything from conflict resolution to summer plans, and I’m grateful to everyone who stopped by. (Check out the photo from the fair!)
Paperback Edition in Progress
I’ve spent most of this week working on revisions and updates for the forthcoming paperback edition of The Art of the Compromise. The biggest task right now is updating the index. Indexing is the final step in the publishing process and, as I’ve learned, it’s “demanding and time‑consuming.” (I wish I could afford the pros: indexbusters.com!) I’m currently in the “D” section—entries like debate, diplomacy, and due process—and making sure they all point to the right pages. It’s meticulous work, but it will help readers quickly locate information when the book arrives in paperback.

I’m excited to see the finish line approaching and appreciate your patience while I finish up these details. Stay tuned for the official release date!
